Asylum Matters is seeking a Campaigns Project Manager for the North East region to join our small but impactful team.
Job Title: Campaigns Project Manager
Location: To cover the North East Region, located in either the Newcastle or Middlesborough area
Hours: Full time (35 hours per week)
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed term contract to end of 2019, with possibility of extension

Please note: To ensure this position is open to suitably qualified candidates from across the region, the post-holder may be located in either the Newcastle or Middlesborough area and will be based within a local host organisation.
Asylum Matters works locally and nationally to improve the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum through social and political change. The successful candidate will work in partnership with local organisations and networks in the North East to develop and implement strategies for promoting change locally and nationally.
To that end, they will have experience of successfully developing and delivering creative and impactful campaigns that have achieved policy change. They will be an effective communicator, able to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively with partners to identify gaps, amplify existing work and facilitate connections. They will be a self-starter, able to spot influencing opportunities and swiftly mobilise support to seize them. They will have excellent knowledge of the asylum system and a commitment to providing a platform for the voices of those with direct experience of it.
The successful candidate will join our team of Campaigns Project Managers covering the North West, Yorkshire and Humberside, West Midlands and Wales, the Project Director, based in London and Deputy Director, based in Manchester. Asylum Matters is a project, not an independent organisation, and therefore is hosted by registered charity, City of Sanctuary UK, which employs Asylum Matters staff.
