Sending a message directly to No.10 Downing Street

In the run-up to the 2024 General Election, we asked people to write a postcard to the next Prime Minister which we promised we would deliver to No.10. Hundreds of people got involved. A little over three weeks after Keir Starmer became Prime Minister, today, together with our friends at Praxis, we are making sure that over 350 hand-written messages are delivered in person.

The Recourse to Public Funds Action Group hand-delivered the postcards to Downing Street, delivering a powerful message to the new UK Government that people around the country want an end to the #AntiRefugeeLaws and the hostile environment, and an asylum system that protects people and treats them with dignity and respect.

There have been some welcome first steps with the recent changes to legislation that opened up the asylum system again, but the UK Government must go further. For more information about the recent changes see this blog from Free Movement.

If you would like to send your own postcard to the Prime Minister, you can download and print your own copies of the blank postcard here.
