Our Advisory Group

Our Advisory Group helps to inform the strategic direction of Asylum Matters and our advocacy and campaigning work. Its members bring a range of skills and experiences that have helped shape the project and bring about positive change for people going through the asylum system.

A member of Network for Social Change, Jaqui was involved in setting up Regional Asylum Activism, was on the Advisory Group, and supported activities locally

Ruth is Director of Positive Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers, Leeds, and Chair of the Leeds Migration Partnership

Jonathan is an independent campaigner and teacher supporting charities and not-for-profits to campaign for change around the world

Jonathan Featonby is Policy and Advocacy Manager (Refugees and Asylum) for the British Red Cross

Maya Mailer

Maya is Oxfam GB's former Head of Humanitarian Campaigns and Policy and now a freelancer for the refugee and migrant sector in the UK.
